Biography

Whitedog has been writing and performing for 15 years. A natural performer, if not a natural musician, who has studied hard to master songwriting, guitar, keys, bass and logic. Whitedog can perform as a solo artist as a d.j. and has been with several groups.

Whitedog is the mayan calendar and stage name for Wayne Robert Davies. It is his solo writing and performing name. Solo projects to date include two dance/ world/ progressive e.p.’s; ’15 years since 1992,’ which blends sampled beats and melody with vocal tracks pinched from previous 4track and digital recordings. ‘apachedog,’ an upbeat slant on native American drum patterns with uplifting beats and samples of animals. And one acoustic single entitled ‘I’ll see again. ‘ which is his best recorded work to date.

Whitedog can write, record and arrange pieces and has a wide taste in style. He can operate sound desks and recording suites and get what he wants from the music. Onstage he is engaging, attractive and endearing. His smile is infectious and his feelings deep. Forthright at times and demanding of attention he takes to the stage, never too shy but always bright ‘the dog star shines tonight.’
